Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, SOFAVI extends its best wishes for a peaceful and prosperous nation, where the people enjoy warmth, well-being, and happiness. We respectfully wish Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and war veterans continued good health.

On September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh proclaimed the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This historic event is not only a glorious milestone but also carries profound significance:

Affirmation of sovereignty:
It marked the end of more than 80 years of French colonial rule and thousands of years of feudalism, affirming Vietnam’s right to freedom and independence before the world.

Opening a new era:
It ushered Vietnam into a new era—an era of independence, freedom, and socialism, where the people truly became the masters of their own destiny.

Legacy of unity:
It stands as a testament to the strength of national unity and the immense sacrifices made by generations of our forebears.

The 80th anniversary of National Day is an opportunity not only to reflect on our heroic history but also to look back on eight decades of national construction and development. From a country deeply affected by war, Vietnam has risen strongly, integrated into the global community, and affirmed its position on the international stage.

This is a moment for today’s generation to express deep gratitude and to continue striving toward a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
